AEW Dynasty 2025 Predictions

AEW Dynasty is here yet again. After the amazing card that was Dynasty 2024, the dub certainly has set quite the standard to live up to. Overall, I think the build to this PPV has been pretty great despite the short amount of time that there has been since Revolution.
That being said, as I did with Revolution, here I will be giving my predictions for the winners of the 10 announced matches!
(PS, I promise this blog won't just be me giving my AEW predictions and review, but bear with me lol)
Owen Heart Cup 1st Round: Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe
This has been an interesting feud. Not that these two have really been intertwined week in and week out, but they've had three prior singles matches within the last year, with Briscoe holding a 2-1 advantage in the series.
Briscoe beat Fletcher clean in last year's C2 and caused him to not have a straight victory in the tournament, but Fletcher got his revenge two months later on Collision. These two will yet again have a banger match.
With the stakes being an advancement in the Owen, I think that Kyle will be able to pick up the victory and advance to the next round while evening the series 2-2.
Owen Heart Cup 1st Round: Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight
We have some new blood on the AEW roster. Not only that, but this is the first time these two have ever faced off in a singles match.
This is also Knight's sixth (two matches on Dark and Forbidden Door Buy-In in 2022) match in AEW and only his second singles contest.
That being said, I anticipate this to be a really fun foray into what "The Jet" can do, but I would be incredibly surprised if we got anything other than a halfway quick (12ish minute) victory for Ospreay as he moves to round two.
Owen Heart Cup 1st Round: Mercedes Mone vs. Julia Hart
This will be an interesting matchup. Hart hasn't had a match in a few weeks since her three-match series with Queen Aminata, and Mone has been one of the best women's wrestlers in the world for years.
As much as I really love Hart's character, her in-ring work has truly been a letdown for me lately. She is still very young (just 23 years old), so she has plenty of time to improve, but I do wonder, with how deep the AEW women's roster is, how she continues to get spots like this when wrestlers like Hikaru Shida and Trish Adora aren't on TV frequently.
I expect this to be a relatively quick victory for Mone as she continues her undefeated streak as the CEO.
AEW Tag Team Championship: The Hurt Syndicate (c) vs. Bryan Keith and Big Bill
RAHHHHHHHH BRYAN KEITH FINALLY GETTNG TO SHINE
Sorry, I'm back. I'm super excited for this match. Keith has been a killer for years on the indies, and the AEW audience has gotten to see him show off his skills in the singles match he had against Will Ospreay.
Big Bill is doing the best work of his career, in my opinion, and it will be a super fun matchup against powerhouses like Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley.
I think this should be a better match than their defense on the Revolution card (WHICH WAS NOT A BAD MATCH) and will be a great propeller for Keith and Big Bill to get the fuck out from under the Learning Tree.
The Hurt Syndicate should retain this but I really am anticipating a good showing from both teams.
AEW TNT Championship: Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Adam Cole
It's about time Adam Cole BAY BAY gets himself a singles title in AEW. Garcia has had a great run with the belt and has had eight defenses of the belt in his 125+ day reign.
Danny G is still just 26 years old and should be able to use this loss to grow more as a character as one of the most beloved babyfaces in AEW today.
Cole has been doing great work himself over the past few months since he shook Taven (love) and Bennett (do not), and has realigned with Roderick Strong and everyone's favorite seal transformed into a human, Kyle O'Riley.
After the 20-minute time limit draw Cole and Garcia had on Collision a few weeks ago, I think they have set the feud up really well for Cole to finally get the best of Danny and get the win.
ROH World Championship: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bandido (Title vs. Mask)
Trust we will finally be free of Chris Jericho after this. I will be straight up appalled if Jericho takes Bandido's mask.
That being said, Jericho has been doing some pretty good work in his recent feud with luchadors, which has been a nice change of pace compared to a lot of his AEW run in the last few years.
Bandido is an animal, and he should be continuing to prove it while reclaiming the ROH World title he lost a few years back. I'm expecting Bandido to carry Jericho to one of his better matches that he's had in a while, especially after their really good match from Collison in mid-February.
Bandido for ROH World Champ!
AEW Trios Championship: The Death Riders (c) vs. Rated FTR
Thank god Tony Khan has finally got Cope out of singles matches because he has been putting on stinkers since he came back from his leg injury.
This has had an interesting build with FTR having beef with one another, as well as Dax having issues with Cope after feeling that FTR were forced to put their tag run aside to attempt to help him win the AEW World Championship (which he failed at).
We also haven't really gotten to see much of the Death Riders as trios champs as of late, and I really feel like the angle with Mox and the World Title has put a damper on what Claudio, PAC, and Yuta can do in the ring.
I really don't know what way this match will go with the seeming disintegration of FTR looming, BUT I think it could play into the main event angle with the Death Riders possibly losing their belts.
My gut feeling is telling me that the Death Riders will retain so that they can begin to set up a tag feud between FTR and Cope and Christian with the dissolution of the Patriarchy.
AEW International Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. Ricochet
YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP
This shit is gonna bang. Three absolute monsters facing off in a match that wouldn't feel out of place in a 2014 Pro Wrestling Guerilla show.
Omega is back on his god-tier level, Ricochet is doing the best character work of his career while still putting on some insanely athletic and fun matches like his Revolution match with Swerve.
Speedball is just all around amazing. He is an ass kicker and is an insanely pure babyface and is already becoming a fan-favorite in AEW.
This may end up there with the three-way at Wrestle Dream with Konosuke Takeshita, Will Ospreay, and Ricochet in terms of the best triple threats of all time.
I think this will serve as another reminder that Kenny is back and he is that guy. He should retain to continue my thought process that we're going to get Omega vs. Okada V at All-In Texas to unify the Continental and International title belts.
AEW Women's World Title: Toni Storm (c) vs. Megan Bayne
This may be a hot take or a controversial opinion, BUT, I think this is as good of a time as any to have Bayne win the belt in convincing fashion.
Bayne has all the pieces to be the monster heel that the women's division has been looking for for literal years.
Toni is likely forever made in AEW and can continue to remain a top star in the company with her character work alone as she doesn't need a belt at all.
Bayne should win the title and have a lengthy reign while AEW builds up a new star in the division to take her down.
AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Swerve Strickland
I'm on my hands and knees begging and pleading for Swerve to take the belt from Mox on Sunday. Since the inclusion of Swerve in the Mox circle at the end of Revolution, it's been the hottest the Mox title reign has been since he murdered Danielson.
Just this week, we have seen an interesting wrinkle in the fold with "Hangman" Adam Page and Swerve meeting on Dynamite and sort of coming to common ground about their historic feud.
I think this will be the best match (barring maybe Orange Cassidy) in Mox's reign so far.
I believe the two ways that the match could go would be Hanger coming out to defend Swerve from the Death Riders, so that we can build to possibly the final installment of Hangman vs. Swerve for the AEW World Title at All-In Texas.
OR we could finally see the return of Bryan Danielson to help get revenge on his friends who turned his back on him all the way back at Wrestle Dream, and help Swerve get back his title.
I will be a very, very sad person if Mox leaves Dynasty with the championship, BUT if that does happen, I appreciate that the angle has seemingly had more legs in the past few weeks than the majority of months leading up to this.
